Chicken Salad

Welcome to WESTERN COOKING IN PLAIN ENGLISH VIDEOS! In this video I've shown how to make a very easy, quick and simple chicken salad that requires only the following ingredients and pieces of equipment. For short videos showing exciting, flavorful easy-to-make chicken salad variations, see "Chicken Salad: From Simple to Exciting!"

Ingredients :

Leftover Cooked Chicken
1-2 Celery Stalks
3 Tablespoons Mayonnaise (see step 3 below)
1-2 Teaspoons Mustard
Ground Black Pepper (to taste)

Equipment :

Cutting Board
Sharp Knife
Mixing Bowl
Tablespoon
Teaspoon

1. Chop the leftover chicken into bite sized pieces. Make sure to check for and discard any bone or tendon pieces. Put the chopped chicken into a mixing bowl.

2. Rinse and chop 1-2 celery stalks. Start by removing and chopping any celery leaves on the stalk as celery leaves add great flavor to chicken salad. Slice the celery stalks lengthwise into thin strips, then cut them cross sectionally into small pieces.

3. Add just enough mayonnaise to moisten the chicken and celery when it is mixed together. Start with less than you think you will need. You can always add more later.

4. Add 1-2 teaspoons mustard and a few shakes of ground black pepper.

5. Stir with a big spoon until the mayonnaise and mustard are well mixed into the chicken salad.

Serving Suggestions: Eat as is or serve on toast, in a tortilla wrap plain or topped with cheese, on a bed of lettuce or mixed together with a green salad. For exciting, easy-to-make flavorful chicken salad video variations, see "Chicken Salad: From Simple to Exciting!"
